Held every Thursday from 8-10 PM, this 32-hour program covers a complete Rumba cycle, including Yambu & Guaguanco, Columbia, and Salsa con Rumba.

Afro-Cuban Dance Intensive Schedule
4 Weeks Yambu:
- Week 1: Introduction to Rumba music, clave, basic steps, and body mechanics.
- Week 2: Understanding Yambu music and history, basic sequences.
- Week 3: Building on Yambu sequences.
- Week 4: Solidifying Yambu basics, variations, improvisation, and introduction to Guaguanco.
4 Weeks Guaguanco:
- Week 5: Introduction to Guaguanco music, history, and basic steps using Yambu foundation.
- Week 6: Focus on Guaguanco basics, gender roles, and variations.
- Week 7: Technique and attitude for Guaguanco, separated by gender.
- Week 8: Guaguanco circle, improvisation, review of all basics and variations, introduction to Columbia.
4 Weeks Columbia:
- Week 9: Introduction to Columbia music, history, and basic steps.
- Week 10: Working on Columbia basics and improvisation.
- Week 11: Introducing intricate steps and solo improvisation.
- Week 12: Review of Columbia steps and introduction to Columbia challenge.
4 Weeks Salsa con Rumba:
- Week 13: Introduction to timba, songo, and salsa-rumba mix with basic steps.
- Week 14: Review all rumba steps, integration with salsa and different claves.
- Week 15: Building variations of Salsa con Rumba at slow, medium, and fast speeds. Review of all material.
- Week 16: Salsa na ma format, improvisation, music interpretation, building confidence, and possible live drumming.
